What causes my dry cough?

I am a 22 year old female who has had a dry cough for 2 weeks. What could be the cause?

Most likely to be post nasal drip. Phlegm dripping down the back of the throat can trigger a cough. The first thing to try is an antihistamine like Claritin or Zyrtec or Allegra or any of their generic equivalents. Then can get Flonase as well. Two sprays in each nostril daily. There are many other causes of dry cough so get an evaluation in person if symptoms persist!
