What could be the cause of blood in my stool?

I am a 34 year old male and I noticed blood in stool yesterday. What could cause this? Is this normal?

This is usually from hemorrhoids, if the stool is otherwise normal. Other causes are anal fissure, polyps. Only in older patients with weight loss or anemia, colon cancer may cause blood in the stool.
It depends on whether it is fresh blood or that dark blood because there could be different reasons for the type of blood. Most common cause could be the hemorrhoids if it is fresh red blood

No it is not normal. You need to be evaluated by a colon and rectal surgeon or gastroenterologist.
