Pediatrician Questions Ear-Nose and Throat Doctor (ENT)

What could be the cause of my daughters earache?

My 6 year old daughter has had an earache for almost a week. What could be the cause?

She would need to be checked to see if it is a middle ear infection or an external ear infection. Most middle ear infections would need oral antibiotics if they have been present a week. Most external otitis can be treated with ear drops
There are many causes of an earache in children ranging to infection to foreign body to swimmers ear. The key to diagnosis is to have her evaluated by a pediatrician or a family doctor.
