Needs to be looked at immediately
Blood should never be in the urine. Whether it is microscopic or you see it grossly in the urine. The kidney filters the blood, but the filter should not let blood enter into the urine. You need the following tests. You need a urine cytology, a urinalysis for culture and a micro vision to see where the blood is coming from. You also need to get a abdominal pelvic CT scan to look at the kidneys, ureter‘s and the bladder. Lastly, you’ll need a cystoscopy to look into your bladder and to confirm that the urethra has no structures in it. Typically, a patient of your age is too young for cancer. Most likely it is due to kidney stones. The above work up will direct what’s wrong with you and if you need any treatment.

It can mean a number of things including but not limited to : kidney stones, infections, kidney diseases, cancer, etc. If you have blood in the urine it must be worked up.
