Bronchitis inflames the bronchioles (small airways) and creates mucous that cause persistent cough and sometimes sputum production.
Bronchitis can produce symptoms of cough(which can be dry or associated with phlegm/sputum), shortness of breath, wheezing, chest pain, and/ or pulmonary congestion. These symptoms stem from the inflammation, bronchospasm, and hypercellularity in the brochial tubes--ergo "bronchitis"
Not a thing. Your bronchi are the tubes leading into your lungs.
