Dentist Questions tooth pain

What does cavity pain feel like?

I'm 28 years old, and I'm experiencing some pain in my tooth. This pain has been there for over a week and it's one of my molars. Could this be a cavity? What does cavity pain typically feel like?

You should see a dentist.
There really is not any typical pain for a cavity. Many people never have any discomfort. Some people will have hot and cold sensitivity. If you have been having discomfort for more than a week you should probably see your dentist to check the area.
I highly recommend you get in to see a dentist right away. You will need an X-ray to properly diagnose what the pain is. It can be a spectrum of things, from a deep cavity to tooth sensitivity. Cavity pain is pain, or an ache in the tooth, it just hurts. That pain can vary in severity. Your body is telling you that you need to attend to it sooner than later, please seek out professional help.
