There are different kinds of vitamins to choose from, and I have no idea which one to choose for my child. What is the best kind of vitamins for kids that you recommend?

Any vitamin is fine. I often recommend Flintstone vitamins with iron for my young patients esp. patients with anemia. To decide what is best for your child read the labels and compare the ingredients.
Fresh food is always the best vitamin. Supplements are processed or synthetic versions of vitamins so they are never the best choice. Making sure your child is getting a large variety of fresh whole fruits and vegetables is the best way to ensure they are getting the vitamins they need. Vitamin D is obtained from time spent outside in the fresh air and direct sunlight. It is the only way to get the real vitamin D.
Any good company, but should be a multivitamin with iron.
If your child is only taking liquids, you may need a liquid multivitamin for their age such as poly-vi-sol. If they are taking solids, gummy vites are an option or hard vitamins like flintstones. Teenagers may benefit from extra vitamin B and calcium. If they are eating a healthy balanced diet and not underweight, they only need 100% of the daily recommended dose.
