Dentist Questions Cysts

What issues do dental cysts cause?

I've had a dental cyst removed, but only after it became infected. If I didn't notice something strange in my mouth, my dentist said it would have caused a lot of issues if it wasn't removed. What would have happened if I didn't get it removed?

Dental Cysts can expand the jaw bone and shift the neighboring teeth causing poor positioning of the teeth. Some cysts need to be removed and biopsied for pathology evaluation to prevent deterioration of the jaw bone!
Depends on the type of cyst. Anything from infections to tissue damage to tooth movement
