Local anesthesia, regional block,spinal
Options are general anesthesia and regional suck as spinal or epidural......we can even safely do a knee arthroscopy with sedation and regional nerve blocks!
All depends on your Surgeon. Ask her or him. Could be:

General

General with Block

Block with MAC (Sedation)

Spinal with Sedation

Spinal with Block and Sedation

Local And Mild Sedation

You can discuss with your anesthesiologist either at pre op or the morning of the surgery. It depends on the surgeon too, like slow or fast surgeon and how relaxation & depth surgeon wants from the patient. Generally ASA 1 ASA2 will be fine with General Anesthesia with or without muscle relaxant , Endotracheal Tibe is preferred if muscle relaxant is given , if not just LMA , oxygen with intravenous sedation with propofol, drip , fentanyl. and versed is given. The other option for older patients are Spinal Anesthesia by the sureov
Epidural
Could be geta, spinal, or local with IV sed.
