You can schedule with a primary care provider to rule out any conditions and they can refer you to a specialist after that, or you can find a physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist (physiatrist), or a pain management specialist who would be able to perform a physical exam and recommend any imaging they felt necessary to determine the root of your pain and base treatment off of those findings. Imaging could be x-rays, ultrasounds or MRI's.

Start with your PCP or a musculoskeletal physiatrist.

Start with your primary care physician. If needed see a pain specialist.
