It depends and could include a combination of behavioral/cognitive and pharmaceutical intervention.
Hi,

Thank you for your question. There are many forms of therapy to treat depression, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, humanistic therapy, Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). I would recommend you seek services from a mental health professional to help guide your therapeutic process to treat depression.
I hope this has been helpful!

There are multiple types of therapy that can help. They range from cognitive behavioral therapy, psychoanalysis, behavioral, and others. It will partly dependent upon what fits you and what your therapist offers.

Hi, basically almost all modalities of therapy address depression. I prefer experiential dynamic psychotherapies such as Intensive Short Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP), or EFT (emotion focused therapy). But the the others such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) are also well known for addressing depression. I hope it helps.
Most of the time talk therapy is a good way to treat depression. Finding a therapist that you can open up to and talk to is positive. Sometimes medication therapy is also necessary
