It is always a very good idea to ask your surgeon and your restoring dentist. I suggest to rinse with warm water & salt. After 24 hours, use a soft toothbrush with little or no toothpaste, keep the area clean. Do not eat hard or irritating food like spicy salsa or acidic food. No lemon or tomatoes. Make sure you eat protein (eggs, chicken, fish). Many times, a pain medication is indicated. Ice pack in the area is a good idea (4 minutes every half hour). Make sure you check allergies before you take any medication.
Enjoy yourself and relax nothing unusual take your med and follow the surgeon instructions
You should continue with your normal life’s activity. Follow the after care instructions given by the dentist.

Keep the area clean.
No rinsing or spitting until the next day. Soft diet. Bite down on gauze until the bleeding stops. Motrin 800 mg every 8 hours as needed for pain.

After a few days rent your mouth with some colloidal silver I like results RNA called ACS. Also immediately before and after surgery take some Arnica Montana homeopathic remedy for trauma and bruising three pallets few times a day

If you have a single implant placed where the bony ridge has healed there is not much to do. This is generally a much less arduous procedure than extraction of a tooth as the process is controlled and precisely carried out. Follow your doctor's orders, take any prescribed medications as instructed, be a bit careful of what you eat for a day or two and you will be fine. If you have a tooth extracted and an implant placed immediately in the socket with bone grafting the process will probably involve sutures (stitches) and the post operative course will require a bit more specific attention as to eating, etc. Either way, after a few days, you will feel like yourself.
Hello,

Glad to hear you are getting the treatment you need. Dental implant surgery can be done in a variety of ways depending on what is needed. If it is something as simple as just the implant needs to be put in, then it is a very simple and quick procedure where you will not even know it happened, and for the most part resume your life normally after the procedure. Sometimes a sinus lift, bone graft, or tooth extraction needs to be done at the same time. If this is the case your doctor will give you specific instructions (depending on which one of these procedures is also being performed) to prevent any complications. Usually, it will be diet restrictions like nothing too hot or spicy as hot foods will promote bleeding and spicy foods will irritate the area.
Hope this helps.

My best to you!
