What to eat after getting fillings?

I am a 23 year old male. I need to get a filling when my dentist opens the office. What to eat after getting fillings?

You can eat pretty much what ever you want.
Depends on what type of filling material is used. You want to wait until you are no longer numb before you eat. This will help prevent biting your lip/cheek, etc. silver fillings need time to set. I would wait to eat soft food for an hour or two and avoid hard foods for several hours. While fillings set immediately and you can eat right away.
After a tooth filling procedure you should always wait till the numbness has completely subsided before you eat. And not unless your dentist has given you specific instructions, you should be able to eat just about anything you desire.
Maintain a soft diet until anesthetics have worn off. Amalgam (silver) fillings need 24 hours to completely harden, Composite (white) fillings harden while in the office.
After a routine filling, it is safe to eat any regular foods. If the filling turns out to be a big one, due to the cavity being large, cold foods should be avoided for a couple of days, just so as not to exacerbate the tooth.
Generally speaking while you have dental anesthesia and are "numb" we suggest a softer diet. Nothing hard and crunchy ( example nuts, pretzels) until the anesthesia wears off.
