ā€œWhat's causing my collarbone pain?ā€

I'm 37, and my collar bone has been hurting me for 2 weeks already. What could be the cause of this? Do I need to see a doctor?

Yes, See an Orthopedist. Get an X-Ray as indicated. Iā€™m certain the cause/treatment will be determined.
It could be a strain or also a sign of neck problems. See your doctor or Orthopedic surgeon if the pain persists
You may have some arthritis at the end of the collarbone near your shoulder. Try taking Ibuprofen 600 mg 3 times a day. If it doesn't get better, see an orthopedic surgeon.

Hope it helps!!

Pain in the area of the collarbone is not a common complaint. There are many important structures in that area including the lung, blood vessels and nerves that could be the source of the pain. If the pain is significant you should certainly seek medical care as soon as it can be arranged.
There are many causes including fracture, AC arthritis, and pectoralis origin strain. I would see an orthopedic doctor.
