“When can I eat solid food after oral surgery?”
I am a 21 year old male. I will have oral surgery next week. When can I eat solid food after oral surgery?

Hello,
Glad to hear you are getting the treatment you need! Usually you can eat solid foods pretty soon after the oral surgery. For example, I had all of my wisdom teeth removed when I was 21; my first meal was a short stack of pancakes. I was not able to eat them how I normally ate pancakes and had to eat much smaller amounts and much slower, but I did not eat anything but solid foods after I had my wisdom teeth out. However, if you are having oral surgery that requires your jaw to be wired shut, you will not be able to eat solids until the wires come off.
Hope this helps.
My best to you!
