If you think you have sepsis, you belong in the ER
Yes
IMMEDIATELY!! CALL 911 OR GO TO THE ER.
Sepsis is life-threatening. You should go to ER immediately.
Sepsis is a serious infection that has affected other systems in your body. So in addition to fever, cough, congestion you would also have confusion, disorientation, low blood pressure, very rapid heart beat, etc. If you think you are septic you should immediately go to the emergency department to be evaluated.
Sepsis is a constellation of symptoms typically caused by an infection. you can be septic from an infection but it is a result of an underlying problem not something someone just gets. If you have a fever, pain, can’t breath, or any other medical concern you should go to the ER if you feel you need medical attention. If you have an infection making you sick enough to potentially be septic you should go to the Emergency room and not an urgent care.
I'm not sure why you think you have sepsis, but if you do you need to be admitted to a hospital. sepsis is an overwhelming illness, that starts with any type of infection. The infection becomes systemic, meaning it is in the bloodstream and bacteria are going to all organs, and sepsis causes organ damage, such as to the kidneys, heart, liver, brain etc. septic patients will have fever, and will look extremely ill. typically the heart rate rises 1st, then the blood pressure drops, then anything can happen. so if you are having an infection or fever or whatever makes you feel you are septic, you need to go to an ER immediately
