Why am I getting spaces between my teeth?

I am a 23 year old male. I think my teeth are becoming more spaced with time. What could be the cause?

There are multiple causes, I recommend you going and having them checked out for you by your dentist.
Are you clinching or grinding your teeth at night? If you do and your lower teeth fit tightly inside your upper teeth (minimal overbite), then that may be the cause. Sometimes if you have advanced gum disease, that may be a cause.
Have you been diagnosed with periodontal/gum disease in the past? In most cases if you have been diagnosed that cause shifting of the teeth. The reason is periodontal disease affects the bone and supporting tissue, it is termed periodontitis and is characterised by the formation of pockets or spaces between the tooth and gums. This may progress and cause chronic periodontal destruction leading to loosening or loss of teeth.
There are many different schools of thought on this one. Most involve teeth coming in (usually wisdom teeth)
