OB-GYN (Obstetrician-Gynecologist) Questions Bleeding after sex

Why am I bleeding after intercourse?

I had protected sex and afterwards I saw bright red blood. Why am I bleeding after intercourse? Should I see a doctor?

Yes. Get immediate follow-up.
You have an injury to the posterior wall of the vagina or bleeding from the cervix due to friction by male part. If the bleeding continues, plan to make an appointment with a gynecologist.
There are so many reasons why this could happen: timing in your cycle, infection, pregnancy, age related problem, cervicitis, and even cancer. See your provider and get it checked out.

Could be associated to cervical or uterine polyps. You should have a pelvic exam as well as an ultrasound for evaluation
