Did you have braces when you were younger? Teeth generally want to moove toward the middle. If your jaw bones are too small there maybe crowding. Do you have periodontal disease? This causes bone loss and maybe a factor in your teeth shifiting. See your dental provider to determine the cause and possible treatment options to correct your concern.

Missing teeth or wisdom teeth pushing
Good afternoon,

That's a great question. It can be for a variety of reasons. We can treat shifting teeth with orthodontia. Options are six month smiles, or Invisalign.

Often, some shift in teeth is normal with age, but you need to ensure that your teeth have a strong foundation. This means you need to get them cleaned regularly so your bones and gums are healthy, and can support your teeth adequately. You might want to think when was the last time you had a cleaning or check up done and whether you are suffering from gum disease (periodontitis).
Teeth shifting could be because of but not limited to crowding due to malocclusion, impacted wisdom teeth pushing teeth, bone loss and traumatic bite. For a proper diagnosis, individual assessment through examination and radiographs is necessary.
