“Why do babies kick in the womb at night?”
I am a 28 year old female. I want to know why do babies kick in the womb at night?

Babies move throughout the day but we perceive more movement when we are at rest, like when we are trying to sleep. It is common not to appreciate movement when we are busy but stop being active and suddenly the baby seems to wake up.

They actually kick in the uterus 24/7, however, at night, you tend to feel it more. You're not running around going other things like you are in the daytime so you will feel it better while you are lying down not doing anything. There is no daylight so the baby does not have any reference to daytime/nighttime.
