“Why do I have nosebleeds?”
I'm 19 and I have nosebleeds every once in a while. It's terribly irritating and I don't know how to handle it. Why does this happen to me?

85% to 90% of nosebleed are anterior, i.e. from tissues in the first inch. They are located at the anterior septum and the tip of inferior turbinate. Causations are picking, dryness, aspirin, ibuprofen, localized infection. Stop all NSAIDs, don't pick your nose, keep well hydrated, cut your fingernails, limit alcohol intake and smoking. Apply gasoline or bactroban ointment gently with q-tip to anterior septum and circularly in nostril. Do not blow your nose for three weeks. if persists, see ENT for evaluation
