“Why does my arm hurt for so long?”
I've been feeling pain in my right arm for about 6 months. I worked as a server and think that it dates back to this and is the reason for the pain. But, it lasts for too long now. Why?

Yes, being server, lifting 50 lbs of weight serving trays may cause pain in arm. Best is to exercise regularly and build muscles plus use both arms to lift.
Otherwise you can ask your doctor to give you anti-inflamatory medication.

Would need to know location of pain on arm. If at the elbow, may be suggestive of "tennis elbow " or epicondylitis. This pain is typical for servers or waiters due to constant and repetitive rotations of lower arm while carrying trays.
Pain in one's arm can mean many things. It really needs to be evaluated to figure out just what is causing it. Can be anything from arthritis to muscle fatigue and tons of other possibilities, as well. I recommend seeing someone to get checked.

That’s a difficult question to answer with having first doing an exam of your arm, because it depends on the actual location of the pain. But I agree that 6 months is a long time. Could be that the injury never fully healed or you’re doing things now that continue to aggravate the injury. I recommend that you follow up with a primary care physician to have it evaluated. Continue in great health.
