If an 89-year-old woman does not believe that the President was an African American and little people live in the TV, what is wrong with allowing her to think that way? Arguing with her about the truth would be more of a hindrance than a help in this circumstance. Instead of forcing her to live in the present day, the caregiver may wish to step into her world.
