Endometriosis is a medical condition where the uterine cells move out of the uterus into other organs in the abdomen. These cells usually are responsible for menstruation and when they move out of the uterus wall, they can cause accumulation of blood in that organ. This leads to the formation of blood clots and adhesions that gives rise to pain in the abdomen.
