Making Strides Against Breast Cancer
There are a variety of events sponsored by Making Strides each year in locations all across the country. Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is an arm of the American Cancer Society and has been involved in the fight against cancer since 1913. Medicine has come a long way in the century since the American Cancer Society was founded, but there’s still a lot of work to be done.
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer events strive to especially celebrate survivors of breast cancer and their caretakers, as well as remembering loved ones who have been lost to the disease. Walks are noncompetitive and are typically 3-5 miles. You can also sign up and receive sponsorships for the race to race more money for the cure.
