After 5 years, the cancer returned

When Narell went in for her five year appointment, she was expecting the good news to continue; however, she was told that they had found a new growth.

While she was waiting for good news, statistically, it is not unusual for the results to be negative at this point. Around 70 percent of those who have survived ovarian cancer experience a recurrence.

While she had had her ovaries removed, the cancer cells that were present in them spread to her bowel wall.
