Breast Cancer, Infertility, and Freezing Eggs

So, why hesitate?

Based on this information, it may be surprising that every woman who has yet to have children doesn’t immediately jump on board with egg freezing. But, although the risk of physical side effects is low, there are also emotional impacts to consider.

While egg freezing greatly increases the chance of a successful pregnancy later in life, it is in no way a guarantee. Understandably, some women may be hesitant to go through the procedure and still be unable to conceive. This is especially likely when women are already dealing with a cancer diagnosis and impending treatment.
