Repurposing FDA Approved Drugs to Use for Ovarian Cancer

An everyday OTC painkiller can help treat ovarian cancer

To test this prediction, ovarian cancer cells taken from patients were grown in the laboratory and tested with an NSAID called indomethacin. What they found was that this prediction turned out to be true! The Indomethacin helped kill both drug-resistant and drug-sensitive cancer cells. Even more exciting was that adding chemotherapy to the mix helped kill the cancer cells even faster.
