Repurposing FDA Approved Drugs to Use for Ovarian Cancer

This could mean a bright future for ovarian cancer treatment

DrugPredict represents a new modality for finding safe alternatives to treat challenging and serious diseases like ovarian cancer. By combining the expertise of the lab and Dr. Xu's knowledge of bioinformatics, a new drug approach may have emerged as a potentially better way to treat ovarian cancer. Soon, they plan to test indomethacin's ability to target ovarian cancer in phase 1 clinical trials. Researchers plan to collaborate with their institution's gynecologic oncology department at the University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center and the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.
