Is Screening for Ovarian Cancer Cost-Effective?

Screening recommendations

If women were determined to be at a normal risk, they would be asked to continue to have annual screenings. If they were established to be at an intermediate risk, they were requested to repeat CA-125, and at an elevated risk, to have a transvaginal ultrasound and repeat CA-125.

Out of the approximately 300,000 women who underwent annual incident screening, around 640 had surgery and 133 invasive cancer. Within a year of screening, researchers were able to detect 22 invasive cancers. Out of those, one was detected by ROCA.
