Meet this Group of Celebrity Breast Cancer Survivors

Actress Maura Tierney was diagnosed with breast cancer in June of 2009. Despite her role as Nurse Abigail in the TV series, ER, she was never comfortable with medicine off-camera. She was frightened to go to the doctor, but thanks to the encouraging words of her boyfriend at the time, Tierney was able to receive treatment for her breast cancer diagnosis. “That’s one thing I will say: Don’t be afraid to go to the damn doctor. Just go!” she said.
