Mobile Mammography to Eliminate Barriers to Breast Cancer Screenings

Examining differences will help develop more effective methods in the future

Based on the derived results, significant differences were found among mobile unit patients and cancer center patients. The cancer center patients were older and more obedient towards guidelines, whereas the mobile unit patients displayed greater racial and martial diversity, higher recall rate, and lack of adherence to follow-up recommendations. By identifying these characteristics, the researchers are hopeful in being able to develop programs and resources that will meet the population groups’ needs and behaviors.
