New Marker Could Detect Fatal Breast Cancer Earlier
Why is EFC#93 special?
The research team honed in on a specific area of the DNA called EFC#93, which can be found in blood serum. Blood serum is obtained by removing all of the red and white blood cells from drawn blood, and then is further refined in a centrifuge, where all coagulating factors are removed. The result is a clear, yellowish liquid which can then be used to gain diagnostic information through testing or clinical trials.
