Ovarian Cancer: How Early Detection Saved This Woman’s Life

Cann's success story

Luckily for Cann, she was successfully treated after removal of the tumor. After chemotherapy, the 46-year old mother is now free of her cancer. Her early diagnosis saved her so she can continue living her life, taking care of her two kids and working in the classroom.

Though Cann's battle was a successful one, she still has to go to the doctor regularly to check for recurrence.

That’s not to say that the battle is over, though. Cann still has to go for regular check-ups every 3 months over the next 2 years. The cancer is so dangerous that they don’t want to risk missing a relapse.
