She acted quickly and the mass was removed
Though the news was devastating, and though she feared the worst, she moved quickly and scheduled herself for a surgery to remove the mass, along with one of her ovaries and fallopian tubes. She decided with her surgeon to keep one side of her ovaries and fallopian tubes, that way it would still be possible to have a baby, if she so desired. Her prognosis is good, and the doctors were able to catch the cancer before it spread and did any damage to any surrounding organ systems. Still, the battle with ovarian cancer left her feeling vulnerable.
