However, for individuals who are at high-risk of ovarian cancer due to a family history of the disease, such as being BRCA-positive, he sees the test being put to use in the next several years to come. Moreover, he anticipates two additional steps in order to advance research and accuracy of the blood test. The first step is to assess the blood work in samples from individuals who are at high risk of ovarian cancer due to a family history of the disease.
