Surviving Breast Cancer Has Given Julie Stokes a New Legislative Purpose
She is sponsoring yet another bill, this one focusing on equal protection and free speech
Most recently, House Bill 830, sponsored by Stokes, was passed by the House and it is pending approval by the state Senate. The bill states that operators of sexually oriented businesses have to validate the age and work status of employees and independent contractors. Moreover, a court case is pending in regards to the minimum age of strippers in Louisiana. While waiting for the courts to rule, this bill aims to provide equal protection and constitutional right to free speech.
