8. Estrogen therapy
According to the Mayo Clinic, postmenopausal hormone treatment is becoming less commonly prescribed by doctors. A large clinical trial found that it posed many health risks, such as heart disease, stroke, blood clots and breast cancer.
While it hasn’t been seen to be a risk for causing ovarian cancer, women who used Estrogen Replacement Therapy did have high death rates when diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Participants in a study of 211,581 postmenopausal women showed the higher likelihood of fatality.
