For Some Women, Survival Doesn't Justify Traveling for Ovarian Cancer Treatment

The study's results

62 women responded to the inquiry. More than 80% of women felt that a 6% survival benefit or less was enough to justify an extra 50 miles of travel. Similarly, about 80% of these respondents also said that they would travel over 50 miles more if they could get a 6% survival benefit at 5 years. Almost half actually were willing to travel 250 miles for this amount of improved survival benefit.
