Fighting Ovarian Cancer with Arsenic

This work could pave the way for especially resistant cancers

O’Halloran, in collaboration with neurologist C. David James from Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine, are now looking into treating glioblastoma, an aggressive type of brain cancer for which there is currently no effective treatment. “It’s abundantly clear that we need completely new methods to try to shut down cancer proliferation. We’re very excited that our work could pave the way for new types of treatments for brain, breast and other very resistant cancers,” said O’Halloran.
