More about Michal

Michal is a 44-year-old woman who works in sales at WBTV News. In March 2017, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Michal’s mother had fought breast cancer and eventually passed away due to a rare side effect from chemotherapy. “I was only 22 when she passed away. My mom did everything considered 'standard of care' - surgery and chemo, which is what caused the leukemia. She died two days after her 53rd birthday” Michal said. Fearing the family history of breast cancer, Michal started undergoing yearly mammograms starting at the age of 35.
