Eliminate stress before laying down to sleep

Without a clear head, you will inevitably bring that energy with you into your slumber, which can lead to bad dreams and interrupted sleep. When this occurs, the negative feelings often follow you into the next day, or longer.

To wind down before bed and eliminate stress, there are a few universal rules. One, shut off all screens at least an hour before bed. Two, don't eat for at least a couple hours before bed. Three, reflect. Before you hit the hay, think about your day, what you are grateful for, and what you would like to change. For some this comes in the form of prayer, but anyone can take part in the practice. Of course, if there is anything else you like to do to eliminate stress before bed, do it!
