With a career spanning over four decades, Dr. Giesler’s journey in dentistry has been nothing short of remarkable. After completing her education at UTHealth Houston School of Dentistry, she honed her skills through a hospital residency program at the Oklahoma Medical Center and public health service commitments in Plainview, Texas. Her extensive training and dedication to serving underprivileged patients allowed her to perfect her techniques in surgery, bonding, and full mouth reconstruction.
Upon returning to Houston, Dr. Giesler worked in several practices as an associate, one being one of the top cosmetic practices in the city. It was then that she was able to perfect her artistic skills and learn from someone who had mastered the art in cosmetic dentistry. She bought her first practice in Texas City in 1995 from Dr. JD McConnell. Four years later, in 1999, Dr. Giesler sold her practice to move to Atlanta. She completed the build-out at Post Riverside, and opened Atlanta Smiles in January of 1999.
Dr Giesler has served as a part time instructor at the NYU College of Dentistry, Dr. Giesler has shared her wealth of knowledge and expertise with aspiring cosmetic dentists across the country. Her deep commitment to continuing education is reflected in her attendance of over 100 hours of courses annually, ensuring that she remains at the forefront of advancements in dental care.
Bringing a wealth of expertise and dedication to her practice, Dr. Giesler has been an esteemed member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Georgia Dental Association. She is also renowned as a Master of the Academy of General Dentistry, an accolade achieved by less than 1% of American dentists!
