A top professional in the field of orthopedic surgery, Dr. Flood sees patients at Caduceus Specialty in Yorba Linda, California. He is experienced with a wide variety of surgeries including joint replacements, arthroscopic surgeries, fractures, and common hand procedures.
He joined Caduceus after many years of private practice in San Diego and academic practice at the University of Missouri. There, he treated patients, taught surgical skills to residents, and published several research papers.
Graduating first in his class from the University of Kansas Medical School, Dr. Flood did an internship at UCSD and a residency at the University of Kansas. He then performed a knee and sports medicine fellowship in San Diego.
A Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, he is board-certified in both orthopedic surgery and orthopedic sports medicine.
Treating athletes of all ages, Dr. Flood has served as a team physician for the San Diego Chargers, the San Diego Sockers, and The University of Missouri. He has also been an orthopedic consultant for the U.S. Olympic Training Center in San Diego and for the Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton.
In addition to being a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (FAAOS), he is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the California Orthopedic Association, the Western Orthopedic Association, the Missouri State Orthopedic Association, and the University of Missouri Orthopedic Association.
