How often do you need your teeth cleaned?
Typically twice a year cleanings are advised, however, some patients only require one cleaning a year. However, some patients need more frequent cleanings, sometimes every 3 months is needed. Dr. Wunsch and his dental team begin each day in stride to make patients’ visits a bright spot in their day, attaining and exceeding expectations.
Growing up in West Reading, Dr. Wunsch attended Wyomissing Area High School and Albright College. He participated in football and track and field in high school and college.
Thereafter, he went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree from the Temple University Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry in 1991, after which he performed his residency at Community General Hospital from 1991 until 1992.
Having been a dentist in Berks County since 1991, Dr. Wunsch took over Reading Family Dental Center, LLC in 1995 and has grown the practice through offering a caring and relaxing atmosphere for his patients.
Dedicated to providing quality dental care and oral health education to the public, he is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). The AGD is an organization exclusively dedicated to serving the interests and professional needs of the general dentist, providing resources to succeed.
Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.
Attributing his success to hard work and honesty with patients, Dr. Wunsch was named Best In Pennsylvania 2023 by Pennsylvania Magazine.
Happily married, he and his wife, Traci, have two children, Alyssa and Bradley. His interests include football, hockey, physical fitness, and reading.
