Get to know Cardiologist Ashok Patel, who serves patients in Bridgewater, New Jersey. Dr. Patel is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. At present, Dr. Patel is a member of Medicor Cardiology, a medical group practice that has established itself as the hallmark of cardiac care for residents of Central New Jersey since 1977. At Medicor, he directs the Arrhythmia Service, which includes the diagnosis of arrhythmias and the surgical insertion of pacemakers and automatic implantable defibrillators (AICD), along with follow-up care. Furthermore, he is a member of the medical staff at Somerset Medical Center, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, and Morristown Medical Center. Thereafter, he went on to complete an internship at Westchester County Medical Center in New York, followed by his residency at Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, New Jersey. He also completed a fellowship in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology at the Lahey Clinic of Tufts University School of Medicine in Burlington, Massachusetts, following a Cardiology fellowship at Yale University’s Bridgeport Hospital in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Cardiology is a branch of internal medicine. As a cardiologist, Dr. Patel specializes in diagnosing and treating diseases of the cardiovascular system. He also promotes heart health and provides rehabilitation to those who have undergone surgery or treatment for issues related to the heart. Dr. Patel resides in Somerset County with his wife and twin daughters.
