Well-versed in the field of nephrology, Dr. Lancaster is affiliated with The Kidney and Hypertension Center, seeing patients at their offices in Anderson, Clermont, Covington, Eastgate, and Edgewood, Ohio. In practice since 2012, his focus as a physician is on patient care and patient experience. His patients inspire him with what they overcome on a daily basis. The Kidney and Hypertension Center provides compassionate patient care for a range of kidney and associated conditions. Their understanding team of providers are dedicated to optimizing patient health by offering comprehensive solutions that address all of patients’ care needs.

Back in the early days of his academic career, Dr. Lancaster obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Northern Kentucky University, and enjoyed studying renal physiology.

Subsequently, he earned his medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine, and attended the University of Cincinnati for his residency training in internal medicine. Drawn to nephrology early in his residency, he could not see himself doing anything else after doing his first clinical nephrology rotation. He also has additional training in interventional nephrology with active certification from ASDIN.

Following his training, the doctor attained board certification in nephrology and internal medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Nephrology is a specialty of medicine and pediatrics that concerns itself with the kidneys. It is the study of normal kidney function and kidney disease, the preservation of kidney health, and the treatment of kidney disease, from diet and medication to renal replacement therapy. Nephrologists have advanced training in treating kidney disease. They diagnose and treat kidney failure, as well as help patients by prescribing medications, offering special diet advice, and coordinating dialysis care or kidney transplantation when it becomes necessary.

When he is not working, Dr. Lancaster spends as much time as he can with his family and his 2 boys. Together, they enjoy camping, boating, and cooking at the campsite. He hopes to try his hand at farming as they get older.
