Recognized as a skilled and experienced urologist, Dr. Tawil specializes in diseases of the urinary tract and the male reproductive system. He can be found on staff at Nevada Regional Medical Center Specialty Clinic, Mercy Hospital Columbus, and Ascension Via Christi Hospital.

Located in southwest Missouri, Nevada Regional Medical Center is a 71-bed acute, intensive and skilled care hospital situated in Nevada, a community of 8500 residents. Serving a six-county area since 1937, it has earned recognition as a respected regional medical center renowned for its comprehensive health care services, skilled and caring employees, state-of-the-art medical technology, and dedicated and talented medical staff. 

Mercy Hospital Columbus is an 18-bed critical access hospital located in Columbus, Kansas. The hospital is part of the Sisters of Mercy Health System and is affiliated with Mercy Hospital Joplin in nearby Joplin, Missouri.

Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg’s mission of care began in 1903, when the Sisters of St. Joseph founded Mt. Carmel Hospital. After earning his medical degree from the University of Cairo, Faculty of Medicine in Egypt in 1976, Dr. Tawil relocated to the United States to further his training. Once there, he served his internship at New Britain General Hospital, followed by his residency in urology at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital in 1980.

A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), he is board-certified in urology by the American Board of Urology (ABU). The mission of the ABU is to act for the benefit of the public by establishing and maintaining standards of certification for urologists, and working with certified urologists to achieve lifelong learning to ensure the delivery of high quality, safe, and ethical urologic care. 

Urology, also known as genitourinary surgery, is the branch of medicine that focuses on surgical and medical diseases of the male and female urinary-tract system and the male reproductive organs. Urologists specialize in diseases of the urinary tract and the male reproductive system. Patients may be referred to a urologist if their physician suspects they may need treatment for a condition relating to the bladder, prostate, urethra, ureters, kidneys, and adrenal glands.
