A board-certified and fellowship-trained cardiologist, Dr. Atallah is the Founder and Chairman of the Rochester Medical Center in Michigan. He also holds staff privileges at Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, Beaumont Hospital, Troy, DMC Harper University Hospital, and serves as a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the Wayne State University School of Medicine.

An expert in his field, the doctor is board-certified in cardiovascular disease, cardiovascular computed tomography, and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

In the past, Dr. Atallah served as the Chief of the Section of Cardiology and Chief of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Crittenton Hospital; President of the American Heart Association, Rochester Chapter; and Medical Director of Cardiac Computed Tomography at Harper University Hospital.

Cardiology is a branch of medicine that deals with the disorders of the heart, as well as some parts of the circulatory system. The field includes medical diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease, and electrophysiology. Cardiologists are doctors who diagnose, assess, and treat patients with diseases and defects of the heart and blood vessels (the cardiovascular system).
