Get to know Family Physician Dr. Malek S. Hussein, who serves patients in Wesley Chapel, Florida.

A seasoned family physician, Dr. Hussein tends to patients at his private practice – Tri-Health Family Wellness Center – in Wesley Chapel, Florida. He also maintains hospital privileges at UF Health The Villages® Hospital, and UF Health Leesburg Hospital.

Tri-Health Family Wellness Center is a full scope family medicine practice that is focused on providing high quality, compassionate, patient centered care to patients of all ages. Through their efficient processes and use of technology, they are able to provide their patients with the timely care they need.

Back in 2009, Dr. Hussein earned his medical degree from the Spartan Health Sciences University. He then went on to complete his residency in general surgery at the Carle Foundation Hospital in 2012, followed by his residency in family medicine at Ascension Genesys Hospital in 2015.

An authority in his field, the doctor is board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice family medicine and its sub-specialties.

Family medicine is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. The specialist is called a family physician or family doctor. A family physician is often the first person a patient sees when seeking healthcare services. They examine and treat patients with a wide range of conditions and refer those with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility.

As a testament to his success, Dr. Hussein has been the recipient of the Patients’ Choice Award (2018, 2017, 2015), On-Time Doctor Award (2018), and Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2017).

Speaking several languages, he is fluent in English, Spanish, and Arabic.
